The work covered in the study involved researches, analysis, selection of already existing products (best practices) and a survey based on questionnaires.
The study consists of:
- an overview of the tourist sector in: Austria, France, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden focusing on the structure of tourist sector providers, the development of the tourist sector in rural areas of regions, countries, impact of the tourist sector on economy and employment and a structure of the tourist guests
- a general overview of the languages taught in the tourist sector in project countries and collection of the best practises of teaching languages including tools, modules, language materials etc which we can adapt to the project content and our three concepts: self direct, family or content related learning
- an overview of the current situation of languages learning within our target group, which foreign languages are spoken, what are the reasons for learning or not learning foreign languages, in how far is our target group motivated to learn foreign languages. In order to find out about the situation the questionnaires surveys plus statistic research were conducted in partner countries.
