Valladolid University General Foundation (FGUVA) was created by the University of Valladolid in order to make closer relations between the University and the Society and to contribute to the improvement of the services supplied to the university community.
Main figures of the University of Valladolid: 4 University Campus (Soria, Palencia, Segovia and Valladolid); University since the XIII century; 100 degrees; 28538 students at First and Second Cycles; 59 departments; 3872 teaching staff (1539 of them are Doctors).
FGUVA, its main objective is both to foster relations with Society as well as to improve develop and manage some University services for the University Community. The General Foundation is made up of three departments: Employment, Training and Projects Department, The Innovation and Technology Department and the Language Centre. In the Language Centre of the University of Valladolid, we have been organizing and offering language courses to people from the University community and also to non-university people since 1996. We have an average of 5000 students a year and we employ around 48 qualified teachers. Every year, we run long-term, intensive or conversation language courses in nine different languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish as a Foreign Language.
